Build a Snowman in Storytime
I Built a Little Snowman
I built a little snowman. (Outline the form of a snowman.) He had a carrot now (Point to nose.) Along hopped a bunny. (Move two fingers up and down.) And what do you suppose? That hungry bunny (Rub tummy.) Looking for his lunch (Look around.) Ate that snowman's nose-- (Point to nose.) Nibble, nibble, crunch!
(Open and close fingers).

Pre-literacy Tip - Building Your Child's Imagination
Your child can know snow through the imagination of story--even if you have never "been in snow"--when you read a picture book to your child. Through reading, singing, playing you can nurture your child's imagination so they can know many things, see different parts and places in the world, and begin to build ideas and solve problems, that is, to develop comprehension and critical thinking. As Albert Einstein has said, "Imagination is more important then knowledge."
